the statue of Saint Jean-Paul II. 18-05-1920 Wadowice Pologne, 02-04-2005 Vatican. on the base of the statue there is a quote, extract from his lecture of the 1rst of January 2002 : “There is no peace without justice, there is no justice without forgiveness” . in french : “Il n’y a pas de paix sans justice, il n’y a pas de justice sans pardon”

If you go to the Sacré Coeur basilica, you will probably stop at the metro station Abbesses, where you will see this beautiful Art Nouveau church ; Saint-Jean de Montmartre, build from 1894 to 1904.

after taking the Yvonne le Tac street, you will them arrive at the famous Sacré Coeur de Montmartre Basilica, named as well Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Sometimes, in front of the church, you might see the football player / acrobat Iya Traore dribbling in the air hunged to a street lamp!

back to the center of Paris : A starting point for the chemin de Compostelle, the Tour Saint-Jacques is a Flamboyant Gothic tower, part of a 16th century Church which was dismantled after the french Revolution. It has been very well renovated, from 2006 to 2013
