Mengjia Longshan Temple was built in Taipei in 1738 by settlers from Fujian. It is seen as an emblematic example of Taiwanese classical architecture.
Located in the center of the city, this temple is always busy, Taiwanese people being attached to their Buddhist tradition. They come to pray Buddha, pay respect to their ancestors, burn incense, and reading their future with the fortune sticks (Kau Cim).
I went to take pictures at dusk, this is a magic moment where you can feel the vibrations, and I hope that you will feel them by watchings the photos…

I’ve just bought the new Sony A7RII and I am testing it in order to make a review on Youtube. Before finishing the test I’m gonna post right now the pictures that I take everyday. So I will update this post several times a week with my new pictures.
I had previously the Sony A7R, I was very satisfied of it, that’s why I was sure that I would like the New A7RII even more with the new features : contrast and phase detection autofocus, in-body stabilisation, 42 megapixels sensor, 4k video shooting ect.
I will be able of course to use all the FE lenses that I have : FE55mmF1.8 , FE35mmF2.8 , FE16-35mmF4 . the 2 first lenses don’t have the optical stabilisation which was a problem when I was taking videos. now, with the in-body stabilisation, my videos will look better and I won’t need to stabilise them in iMovie .
Let’s have a look a the pictures now!

Vesak, Vesakha or Wisakha Bucha Day is the most important and beautiful celebration in the year for all Buddhist countries. It celebrates the birth, the enlightenment and the passing away of the Buddha. Worshippers are turning around the tempe with a candle, incense and a lotus flower.
I shot these pictures in Bangkok, Thailand, at the temple Wat Pathum Wanaram. It is a haven of peace in the very busy neibourghood of Siam, situated just between the shopping malls Siam Paragon and CentralWorld.

I visited Rome a few days in April 2015. This is the best period for tourism : nice weather and not too much tourists.
The city is amazing for its history, shopping, restaurants and of course ice-screams ! Walking in Rome is an experience full of surprises ; each streets will lead you to a “piazza” with a beautiful monument or a charming venue.
You can see below the pictures and I hope you’ll enjoy the visit!

This winter was beautiful in Paris with many sunny days and a blue sky. I was 2 week-ends in the city of lights and could get great pictures of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the River Seine, Hotel de Ville, the Sacré Coeur, and many other street photography shots with people.
Some of these pictures are made in HDR (High Dynamic Range) to be closer to the vision of our eyes. The sensor of the camera has a limited dynamic range : to compensate this, I take 3 times the same picture at different exposures. Then I mix them in HDR Pro Photoshop. after a few settings, that is supposed to give more details and better colors. I shot all the pictures with my Sony A7R and the Zeiss lens 35mmF2.8 .
I hope you will enjoy the pictures!

Monday 30th of December 2013, Chinatown, Bangkok, Thailand. The thai name of Chinatown is Yaowarat. It’s one of the most ancien district of Bangkok, where the first Chinese immigrants came in the 19th century . they were very successful business people and there has always been a lot of activities in this area. The traditional houses are still there, with the shop on the ground floor and the appartement of the owner upstairs. The temple is an important element of they life, and there are many different styles and gods. The street food is everywhere and is very appreciated by the visitors.
I shot the video with a Panasonic around my neck, that’s why it’s a little bit shaky sometimes. All the pictures are shot with my Sony A7r and the Zeiss lens FE 35mmF2.8 . I had to crop the pictures in 16:9 for the video because it fits the Youtube format. However, the pictures on the gallery below are in the original format 3:2 . I exported in 960X640 with a limit of 250 ko in order to be displayed easily. the original RAW file is 36MP !
my review of the SONY A7r, with another lens, the 55mmF1.8 is here
You can see below the video and the pictures with the EXIF Data
